About the School
School History
Opened its doors in 1994 as the most modern school in Mukachevo.
"Everything for the child, for their present and future" – the motto under which in 1994 the doors of the most modern school in the city, School of Levels I–III No. 13, were hospitably opened – has grown into a credo by which its teaching staff works creatively, professionally and selflessly, in close cooperation with the parents of their students, out-of-school institutions, establishments, public organisations, and sports and creative groups of the city.
Today more than 1100 students, under the wise and professional leadership of the school administration and 94 teachers, confidently walk the path of knowledge, preparing not only for their professional future but also learning the most valuable things – the foundations of morality and a healthy, fulfilling way of life.
The child at School of Levels I–III No. 13 is the centre and the axis around which both the formulation and the solution of all scientific and methodological problems revolve. The teaching staff purposefully carries out student-centred education, so many students of our school are winners of city and regional subject olympiads, All-Ukrainian and International competitions, the Junior Academy of Sciences, and sports championships at city, regional, all-Ukrainian and international levels. The development of students' abilities and talents is supported by introducing interactive forms and methods of work into teaching and upbringing, systematic differentiation and individualisation of learning, introducing specialised education in the upper level, and using computer networks in teaching and instruction.
Since 2017 the school has worked under the All-Ukrainian scientific and pedagogical project "Intellect of Ukraine". Work with the inclusive form of education for children with special educational needs is organised with a special approach.
For the all-round development of the individual, the school runs the city social and educational project "Trajectory of Talent", whose aim is to give participants of the educational process an appropriate level and opportunities for organising leisure time and developing students' abilities.
The school's system of educational activities covers national and patriotic, moral and ethical, physical, aesthetic, labour, preventive and legal education of students. In their free time the school's pupils can take part in various clubs and sections. Among them it is worth noting the work of the clubs of the aesthetic cycle – vocal, choral, choreographic and fine arts. Club members are active participants in all school exhibitions, festivals and celebrations, and also worthily represent the school at city level. The sports sections in volleyball, cheerleading and chess not only contribute to the harmonious development of students but also have repeated prize-winners in sports competitions.
National and patriotic education is organised at a high level at the school. Every year the "Black Horsemen" squad takes part in the All-Ukrainian children's and youth military-patriotic game "Sokil" ("Dzhura").
The aim of the game is the military-sports and national-patriotic education of young people based on the traditions of the Ukrainian Cossacks. "Dzhura" is a form of extracurricular work on the patriotic education of students, a means of shaping patriotic awareness and of sports and health work.
The school administration and teaching staff are aware that carrying out the educational tasks entrusted to the school by society and the times is impossible without raising the professional level of its staff. Therefore the school properly runs the work of methodological associations and the "School of the Young Teacher", within which methodological weeks and decades are held, with students and their parents taking an active part alongside teachers.
Fruitful cooperation between the teaching staff, parents and children promotes an active search for new methods and forms of work and creates an atmosphere of mutual understanding and partnership.
Therefore it can be stated that School of Levels I–III No. 13 is today confidently moving along the path of creating conditions for the child's self-realisation and all-round development and of creating a safe educational environment.
